information on Users, Groups, Approved Websites, Banned Websites,
Internet Filters, Website Activity and other Security related
details.
All Indigo Scape Clients connect to the Indigo Central Database
and the System can be managed from any Network location that
has Indigo Scape Enterprise installed. Indigo Scape offers
complete centralized network management of all Internet resources
allowing optimal control, monitoring and management of Internet
use.
Indigo Client Application
Indigo Scape is a client based Internet Management System
that uses a shared Security Database with the Indigo Application
implementing the Security at the client computer. The Security
settings for a particular User are retrieved from the Indigo
Central Database when the User Logs on.
Implementing Security at the client has many advantages including
greater control and management, more flexible configuration,
lower network traffic and a customizable user interface. Furthermore,
because the Security settings are stored in the Central Security
Database it doesn't matter which client computer the User
Logs onto the Security and Interface for that User will be
applied to that computer.
Internet Access Control
Indigo Scape provides comprehensive security coverage and
Internet Access Control by letting you specify exactly what
Websites can be accessed, by whom and when. The User is validated
at Logon and has their own Internet Console which is designed
as a secure environment for accessing all Internet resources
and provides options for a User based on Security settings
defined by an Administrator.
Indigo Scape allows you to set limits on Internet Access
and to time-wasting Web activities while still permitting
Users to reach the sites they need to conduct business. With
Indigo Scape you can completely block the Internet for some
Users or restrict access to only those Websites which need
to be accessed during working hours. You can also control
the Internet by blocking any Website that you don't want anyone
visiting.
Secure Internet Console
Indigo Scape features a Secure Console for accessing Internet
resources and is the central point of access for all Users.
The Console features shortcuts to the Indigo Scape Browser,
Users Approved Websites and Downloads. The Indigo Scape Internet
Console provides a rich User Interface with an advanced Web
Browser creating a more interactive experience in a secure
environment.
The Indigo Scape Secure Internet Console totally
removes the ambiguity of Web Browsers by allowing Users to
see exactly what they are allowed to Access as well as providing

and complex security settings to control access to resources
on the Internet. Security policies can be setup to either
restrict access to just the list of Approved Websites or filter
and block Banned Websites. Content Filters can also block
specific content with selective and custom filters.
Groups can be created that contain multiple Users, Websites
and other Security Objects. Security policies and settings
can be applied to both Users and Groups. Group Management
allows large Groups of Users and Websites to be quickly managed.
Internet
Filtering
Indigo Scape features sophisticated Internet Filtering allowing
Websites to be Filtered based on their Domain, Content and
IP Address. Filtering actions can be applied to completely
block the Website, display a warning or just monitor the Users
action in a stealth mode by writing an entry to the Alert
Log. Screen Captures can also be taken of the Users browsing
activities if Enabled on a certain Filter.
Internet Filtering enables Websites to be blocked if they
are not allowed or if they contain inappropriate or offensive
content thus preventing any harm, distress or legal problems.

on a per User basis. The Domains / URL's Users are allowed

Acceptable Use Policies
Organizations can easily enforce policies for acceptable
use of the Internet through Acceptable Usage Policies. Usage
Policies can be applied to Users and Websites to control access
and usage to various times of the day and/or on specific days.
Policy violations allow various actions to be taken if any
of the acceptable use policies are broken or violated including
locking out a User account, disabling Internet Access or Logging
a Security Alert.
Your organization can comfortably control Internet Usage
by enforcing Acceptable Use Policies.
Download Management
and Disk Quotas
Download Management can restrict Internet Downloads to specific
Users and Websites. File Types and Sizes can be also limited
and Acceptable Use Policies enforced.
Disk Quota can be setup on a per User basis with an allocation
of Disk space in a specified User Directory. This quota can
be monitored and policies enforced if rules are broken or
disk quota exceeded. Downloads from Websites can be forced
to the User Directory and Administrators can keep track of
Downloaded Files, File Types and Sizes.
Internet
Monitoring
Internet Monitoring and Security Logs record User Sessions
and Internet Activity for Website requests and Downloads.
